The road to Cape Gloucester Eco Resort is available for access for cars with reasonable clearance.

By Plane
The Whitsundays region is easily accessible, with daily flights on Virgin Blue and Jetstar from most major cities into 3 airports; Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine), Hamilton Island and Mackay. Pick ups can be arranged from Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) which is the closest to the resort. When booking ensure that you discuss your travels needs with our friendly reception staff.
By Road
Buses and trains arrive daily into Airlie Beach and Proserpine from Cairns in the North and Brisbane in the south. Once you are in the region the resort can be accessed by road. The resort is 29km north-east of the Bruce Highway. The turn-off is just north of Airlie Beach then follow the signs to Hydeaway Bay, continuing along the road (including a dirt segment) until you reach the resort.

By Water
Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort is located in the Northern Whitsunday Islands Group. We welcome the cruising fratenity. We have plenty of moorings just off the resort South of "Passage Islet". It is situated 18 nautical miles North of Airlie Beach, 32 nautical miles North West of Hamilton Island, and 10 nautical miles South of Bowen.
To visit Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort (from the south & east) head for the "Gloucester Passage", which is well marked. The passage has ample water for vessels drawing up to 1.8 metres (6 feet) at low water levels, deeper drafts should wait for the flood tide. Round "Passage Islet" leaving to the South then East to enter our mooring area. The minimum depth in our mooring area is 5 metres.
Contact the resort on VHF Channel 16, or phone 4945 7242 to receive your mooring allocation. Once safely moored or anchored we welcome ashore to use the resort facilities. Resort access is packaged $20 per night or $70 per week per vessel (max 4 persons). Resort access includes using bar and bistro, enjoying our resort pool, hot showers and coin operated washing machine. We have limited capabilities for rubbish disposal, so please ask at the bar. At all times, we remind you that our resources are limited and precious, so please use them responsibly.
